With over 20 years’ experience in all areas of family law Aisling has developed a broad range of expertise in Family Law and Heads the Family Department.

Her approach is to focus on the individual needs of each client and to work with them to establish a close and effective working relationship. Aisling believes in empowering her clients to achieve a resolution of their case through the most suitable legal process for their individual circumstances.

Aisling considers the needs of her clients at every turn ensuring that they are supported and able to progress their case using the legal process which best meets their aspirations and which will deliver the required results. Aisling gives clear, incisive and well-considered advice carefully tailored to individual client’s needs and circumstances. Aisling recognises and promotes the benefits of early settlement through the use of Collaborative practice and Mediation but is also a very firm and capable Litigator. Aisling has a strong track record in achieving discrete costs orders for her clients through litigation practice.

Aisling is a member of Resolution, practices as a Mediator and is Accredited by the Family Mediation Council and is a Collaborative Lawyer.

Qualifications

Aisling Studied Law at the University of Sussex and has a Master of Law from University College Dublin.

Recent Experience

Aisling has extensive experience in dealing with complex and high net worth financial settlements. These settlements may follow Divorce or the breakdown of relationships of unmarried couples including those where financial provision for children is an issue. She regularly advises clients in relation to Pre and Post nuptial agreements. Aisling has a wealth of experience advising clients in relation to child arrangements disputes including Applications for Leave to Remove and Relocation Applications.

Aisling has practical knowledge and experience of working with different business structures and understands the impact on financial negotiations or settlement. She has significant experience dealing with complex income structures and pensions of all types including police, fire service and military pensions.
