Trainee Solicitor


Eleanor Dowden is a Trainee Solicitor in the Private Client department.

Eleanor graduated from St Mary’s University in 2015 with a Law degree and later obtained her Law Masters while successfully completing the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law in 2016.

Eleanor joined Garside & Hoy in November 2016 as a Paralegal in the Family department and in January 2018 moved to the Private Client department.

Recent experience

Eleanor has a great deal of experience working with vulnerable clients in our community either under a Lasting Power of Attorney or Court of Protection.

Over the last 12 months Eleanor has assisted with complex contested probate claims which have  successfully concluded through mediation.

Eleanor is experienced in dealing with probate applications for both taxable and non taxable estates.
