Collins & Hoy are signed up and ready to join the 20th London Legal Walk on Tuesday 18th June 2024.
We wish the Collins & Hoy team, Aisling Collins, Bernadette Hoy, Belinda Pacifico, Jasmine McLean, Sarah West, Jeremy Tulloch, Sally Fidel, Marie Mazzocchi, Aatikah Malik, Dionne McLean, Rina Patel and Lisa Mowle the best of luck and an enjoyable afternoon as they take part in the walk.
The walk raises funds for The London Legal Support Trust (LLST). The Trust supports free legal advice centres across London and the South East. Their work is more vital than ever as they help with free legal advice on debt, benefits, housing, asylum, and domestic violence during the cost of living crisis.
The sponsored walk brings the legal community together across three different 10km routes, as well as shorter routes for those who require the adjustment.
Walkers can choose between River East, River South, or Parks route, for those who want to enjoy some of London’s most scenic spots as they walk. All three routes conclude with a street party on Carey Street with food vendors, bars, musicians and more on offer. All walkers even receive a free drink as a token for their support.
The organisers of the 20th London Legal Walk are confident this will be the most popular walk in its history:
“To mark 20 years of the Legal Walk, we are going to have a bigger and better street party than ever before and therefore we are taking over the whole of Carey Street. We’re bringing more stalls, more entertainment and for the first time ever, a dedicated seating area where you can relax after walking for justice.”
This means the LLST can raise awareness of the vital right to access to justice and support over 100 legal advice charities who provide free specialist legal advice. Last year, 16,000 walkers raised over £950,000 for the LLST, highlighting the invaluable impact the 20th London Legal Week is expected to have.
At Collins & Hoy, we are continuing our support of the walk joining colleagues from every branch of the legal profession including advice agency staff, lawyers, law students and high-ranking judiciary, all of whom we look forward to seeing on the evening.
