It is with great pride that we have just confirmed Kate Moran as Collins & Hoy’s newest partner, an appointment that has even greater significance as Kate is our first new partner following our merger and the subsequent creation of Collins & Hoy in 2019.
Although our formative years have – for obvious reasons – been a little difficult, Kate’s continued commitment to our clients, our staff and our firm has been magnificent. We see her joining the partnership as the perfect way to say thank you.
It is also something of a natural progression for Kate who first came to us to do her year 10 work experience when she was 15 and has never left (apart from going to University to study Law but even then she’d come back to cover staff holidays!).
When Kate graduated in 2007, we offered her a training contract and when she qualified as a solicitor in October 2010, we were delighted to offer her a permanent position.
From there Kate has blossomed as both a family solicitor with a fantastic local reputation and a key member of our growing firm and we believe she will play a leading role in Collins & Hoy’s future success.
However, when we told Kate we wanted her to join the partnership it seems she may have misheard the word ‘future’:
“I have been so happy at the firm ever since I qualified. I see myself as very much part of the furniture (we’re sure she meant ‘future’!) here! I have watched the firm grow over the years, but it has always retained the feel of a friendly and supportive family firm and I know this is the thing our clients value most as we continue to work for generation after generation.”
Joint managing partner Aisling Collins is equally as excited about what the future holds for Kate:
“We are delighted to invite Kate to join our partnership. She embodies everything we want the firm to be, a genuine family firm that takes the best possible care of our clients and their families whether that’s in family law and mediation, property law or wills and estate planning.”
And the firm’s other managing partner Bernadette Hoy agrees:
“The fact she is still referred to new clients by her clients years after working with them is proof she is doing her best work in exactly the right way.”
