We’re very proud to announce our joint-managing partner Bernadette Hoy has been named again in the Spear’s Family Law Index.
The Spear’s Family Law Index 2022 is an indispensable resource for high-net-worth individuals in search of expert advice on family law matters
It is part of Spear’s suite of annual rankings of the top private client advisers and service providers (a range that also includes the Spears 500 in which Collins & Hoy are also listed) to high net worth individuals.
The nominations are drawn up using peer nominations, client feedback, telephone and face-to-face interviews, data supplied by firms, all backed up with information gathered by the Spear’s editorial and research teams.
The categories in advisers can be entered into include:
Bernadette has been recognised as being one of the UK’s best family lawyers for high-net-worth clients .
Why has Bernadette been named in Spears’ Family Law Index?
In her interview, Bernadette told the authors:
“We cover all aspects of family law advice with a particular interest in complex financial cases, often with an international element. Where appropriate for clients, I work on a collaborative basis, which has the benefit of avoiding court litigation.”
The collaborative element is absolutely key to the service Bernadette and the firm provide for their clients. She has practiced as a collaborative family lawyer since 2007 and is a member of the Resolution collaborative family law working committee.
As she noted in her interview, the demand for alternative dispute resolution approaches is only continuing to grow. The firm is receiving more enquiries for mediation and other collaborative processes than ever.
This is an area the firm – who recently merged with Karina Leapman & Co so they can provide experienced family lawyers to clients in West Hampstead and St Johns Wood – will be actively growing over the next year.
